The International Centre for Eye Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) established DR-NET to reduce unnecessary blindness in people who have diabetes and live in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
If untreated, diabetic retinopathy (DR) causes irreversible blindness. DR is a major, and growing, cause of blindness in LMICs.
